Gunfreak Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 I have searched on YouTube but I just fins basics aircraft tutorials. What I'm looking for is "advanced flying *insert aircraft * Where each video deals with how to fly one of the FC aircraft to their limits How to do those crazy things only ww1 aircraft are capable of.

You don't find any video about that topic. You must learn from others or by you own. The best is to practice 1vs1 /duels. Edited December 20, 2023 by 1PL-Husar-1Esk

You need someone to tell you what to do to get the most out of the plane. Hence video

Train with a squad. Some have training nights, training leads, bespoke maps etc. Which type(s) interest you?

People have made vidoes about basic flight. People have made vidoes about spinn recovery. So why should it be very difficult to make tutorials for advanced flying. Would probably be a rather popular video series even.

I haven't made made tutorials because i don't have the skills hence me requesting the vidoes. If you don't make ww1 vidoes then my request isn't for you. It's for those that already make FC vidoes and have the skills and knowledge.

RNAS10_Mitchell Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Not a video, but perhaps try flying over a river, just above the water. Try and follow every bend as close as possible, right over the water. This should help you develop some familiarity with the stick and rudder movements necessary to accurately control your aircraft. Try and fly under a bridge when you come upon one. Won't make you an expert instantly, but neither will videos. But I do believe it will help you to control the aircraft, and get the impression that's what your looking for. Good luck. Although not IL 2 specific, this video might help. You can also search for others about coordinated turns, and aircraft operations. Also search air combat manuvers. Again, not aircraft specific, but the principles are largely universal.

DakkaDakkaDakka Posted December 25, 2023 Posted December 25, 2023 Echoing what others have written, in my experience with both RoF and FC, the only way to really learn a plane is to fly it against other human players. The better the players, the better the training. You also need to spend some time learning and understanding BFM, and if any video training were worthwhile, it would be dedicated to that, as those tactics are the ones you will be attempting to apply when practicing in the plane. With patience, regular practice, and an abandoning of ego, you will eventually see your performance improve. I spent many evenings getting shot down over and over by the same people, night after night, until I started to have some success and return the favor. Remember to type "S!" in the chat, win or lose. 2
