missing file

I had purchased Great Battles months ago and could never get it to launch. So  I've tried to uninstall it to regain the 60 gigs of space it is taking up on my hard drive. It wont install or play because i keep geting the error file "C:\Program Files\IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles\unins000.dat" does not exist. cannot uninstall.

Any suggestions?

Check your permissions? install Run as Administrator. Inside the gamefolder is an 'updates' folder. delete that and the game files will be checked.
