A concise history of the Korean conflict... Taking place shortly after WWII, you will see aircraft, vehicles, tanks, ships, weapons and equipment that you will recognise were used in the previous conflict. As well as some more 'modern' hardware for the time.

Korea has SO many awesome planes and ground pounding, I'm totally onboard any Korean War sim. Even with the travesty of no carrier ops.

I recommend the books by Thomas Mckelvey Cleaver, Mig Alley about the US Airforce in Korea and Holding the Line about the Navy in Korea.

The latter also deals a little with the fleet air arm during the first months of Korea.

Thanks for posting. I’ve never been as interested in Korea, but this is good stuff. I’ve never even looked for or ran across a pilot bio dealing with Korea, but it’s on my list.

John Glenn and Ted Williams flew together in F9 Panthers. Glenn was known as magnet ass because of all the flak he keept getting into.

While Neil Armstrong got 6-8 feet of his wing of his Panther cut off by a anti aircraft wire.

I am still not sure, and you might hit a Brick wall of disappointment. 
To me this new thing has to bring in so much more than Korea to bite. 
I guess we will have to wait 20 years in order to get decant amount of Korea for DCS  

This new ting their at must contain better engine dm. Working communication and so on

I read Devotion by Adam Makos recently, and I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me wanna fly CAS over the Chosin in a Corsair.

 

That being said, I'd much, much, MUCH rather fight zeros in a Corsair.
