As part of module will be 8 planes: I-153 IL-2 mod44 LaGG-3 Yak-1 Yak-3 La-7 BF-109E4 JU-87D5 If anything else will be added later, I am 99% sure it will be sold as separate collector plane. Like it always have been. I doubt planes will be added to the game for free. But that is fine, this module itself adds already more than any other before. 8 hours ago, Arkkimaagi said: I hope Finland and Romania will at least have correct Finnish and Romanian names, ranks, medals, and such instead of using German ones. Yeah, in that case I would turn off radio, so nothing would hampered immersion of finnish pilot. It is sad to hear that finnish voices won't be in the game. Especially when finns are involved in the development. If Finnish profiles would be made, I hope someone revisits also Soviet once. Many of them say that war is already ongoing when our pilot came to the front, but in 1941 Odessa that won't be a case. I know it would be more work for already busy schedule, but details like that adds to immersion...and that is center point of simulators. And after all, pilot backgrounds are just a text, so no programming and testing is required. 2

In part the sounds used came from the old 1946 game. If i remember from my very short experience with that game there was a finish faction as well so if that faction did in fact use finish voices it shoud be a possibility to make something simular. But i cant speak a word finish so i cant help make it unfortunately 😅 2

Yes, but you woud still need to turn it on/off everytime you wanted to play the allied nations. Im not sure finish pilots woud turn in to german chatter during flight. Im not sure they mostly even spoke german. Most romanian pilots did not as far as i know!

But for the finns, i think not. A mod made by some finnish speaking enthusiasts might do the trick, i think. 2 hours ago, Sandmarken said: Most romanian pilots did not as far as i know! oh, they didn't. plenty enough spoke french, some english, very few german.
Jackfraser24 Posted September 13 Posted September 13 I'm sure the Karelian map will look beautiful once it is finished, right guys? 1
YR-AndreiTomescu Posted September 17 Posted September 17 (edited) so it should. i think it was done by/with the consistent contribution of some enthusiasts from Finland. This way maybe the names of the places maybe will be rightly spelled. On the Odessa map, this issue is still quite bothering. Al least for the places that are now in Rep of Moldova. a few funny examples (there are many dozens, but this just for laughs): "Imputcita" is corectly written Imputita and it means..... Stinky one ! "Frekatsei" is corectly written Frecatei and it means..... those who rub it ! "Chismyauya Varuita" is corectly written Cismeaua Varuita and it means..... Painted water fountain ! this, not so funny "Kishtelnitsa" is corectly written Cristelnita and it means..... that holy bath tub in which children are baptized (in chistian orthodox confession) ! "Tisintsaren'" is corectly written Tantareni and it means..... Mosquitos place ! "Vadiluy Isak" is corectly written Vadul lui Isaac and it means..... Isaac's water way ! and many others. I hope at least on the Karelia map not to be this issues. But just as for you all those names means nothing (but for me, they do, mostly because i've been in some, especially those from current Romania) i guess all those names from the far north will look just fine and meaningless even if they are badly misspelled. So yes, i am looking forward for the Karelia map. And hope for some new planes, mostly the finnish Brewster. Edited September 17 by AndreiTomescu 2
Aapje Posted September 18 Posted September 18 The Karelia map is being made by people from the region, so I assume that they know how to spell the names. 1
1PL-Husar-1Esk Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Maybe some kind information about the progress in the production of Finnish aircrafts?

It was quite a fuss to make a romanian one.....

It was quite a fuss to make a romanian one..... I think, manual missions design would be required. I know a way to make in a e.g. russian / us conflict all german / us units in a simple way to real us / axis units (by replace german country id no. by us id no and to resave the mission. This is easy. But what is currently not possible is to generate missions with the EMG by Vander with multiple nations per axis or allied. So I suppose it could work but it would be very complex.
