R.E.8?

The R.E.8 was supposed to be released a week ago on Dec 1st. I have Flying Circus I, II and III -- and I flew last night (Dec 7th) looking forward to flying the R.E.8 and it wasn't listed as an available plane! Didn't it get released last week?

I don't know where you got that from but the R.E.8 is planned to be in the next release, read last week's DD in the news section.

Could you be thinking of the F.E.2b? For whatever reason I keep getting their designations swapped in my head.

RE8, it's there now, but what do you think? AQMB generated mission FC3 map-Verdun: - AQMB RE8 test.zip

IMO just as slow as FE2b. But the default westernfront map is amazingly well detailed with added blocks, compliments; someone has really put a lot of work in to this.

It doesn't climb well compared to later 2-seaters, but it's can move if you want to. I can escape from most Central scouts if I see them in time with just a simple shallow dive for home. That is a bit part of why I think adding some early 2-seaters like the BE2 would be so important for early war missions: the Fokker E.III has nothing to play with since it will never catch the RE8. She can't boogie like the Bristol if the Huns get frisky, but a good gunner can make a world of difference (although that's true for any 2-seater).

Well the detail of this plane's modeling is done very well .... but i can't see me using it much as player, maybe for a bomb-run; you'll loose every time in a battle.
