How to delete a mission that didn't go well

Apologies, if this has already been dealt with in another post - I did a Google search but found nothing relevant:

In an FC career, I've just flown a mission in which one of my best pilots rammed a DFW and went down. Yawn.

I was hoping he wasn't dead, and, joy of joys, he was 'only' seriously wounded, when I did the combat report in PWCG.

Seriously wounded seems to mean that we don't see them again however, as their names no longer appear on the squadron roster with the red cross alongside their name, and other pilots suffering a similar fate don't ever appear to rejoin the squadron.

So, I'd like to delete that mission and not lose the pilot.

How does one do this, please?

On another subject, I still can't get a squadron log for this career - I know this has been posted previously, but it still isn't working for this career.

Once the world turns (aar completed) you can't go back.  Hundreds of records are updated and reverting to the previous day is not possible.  However, if it's one guy that you are trying to bring back, there is a way.

You have to find this person in the campaign personnel files and change the status to active.

  1.  Shut down PWCG
  2. Go to the personnel folder
    1. User\Campaigns\My Pilot\Personnel
  3. Find the file with the pilot you want to change
    1. Each file name is a number that is the squadron id
    2. You can look up the squadron id in the squadron file
  4. Find the pilot that you want
    1. Search file by pilot name
    2. Find the pilot record
    3. Change the pilotActiveStatus to 0
  5. Restart PWCG

Thanks, Pat.

That worked.

Reincarnated a couple of others while I was at it too...?

Do 'Seriously Wounded' pilots ever rejoin the squadron btw? Their names disappear from the squadron roster.

And any idea why the squadron log isn't working?  Esc 31 fwiw.

Unless they are historical aces, they do not.  In the end I simply did not write the logic that would allow pilots to miss months of action and then return.
