[DBS]Tx_Tip Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 (edited) On Maintenance. A Random Works Campaign For the dedicated pilots of FNBF it may have been a long hard 5 years but what a blast those years were. Many of their number had been repeatedly killed or unceremoniously dis-connected at times. Yet all of them became better formation, fighter and bomber/transport aces. Honing their skills and having a great time doing it. They had collectively shot down hundreds of enemy aircraft with many more probable. Their documented combat records over 95 customed designed FNBF Campaign missions plus FNBF Quickies and DBS run Co-OPs were legion. Destroying scores of trains, locomotives, destroyers, e-boats, landing craft, freighters, trucks, staff cars, a multitude of tanks and armored vehicles. Not to mention a voluminous number of factories, fuel dumps and ammunition positions. So fly alongside these squadron and individual players in a multi-theater historical campaign which offers the player an immersive experience flying the actual FNBF missions condensed for single player. Utilizing every flyable aircraft or drivable tank that were introduced by the game within FNBF's five years of online history. Taken from AAR Files and personal observations during FNBF, Quickies and Co-OPs run by the Dedicated Bomber Squadron server under the iconic Birdbrains' Battlefields site and stable. These Historical Campaign missions which include taxi, take-offs and formups along with airstarts can run anywhere from 20 minutes to over 1 hour depending upon players actions in using the Rearm, Repair, Refuel available. The actual squadron and player skins which may have a Hakenkreuz and were used within FNBF are included within the Download to be installed to your Data>graphics>skins> Folders for the Campaign to make sense at times. Additionally, the Campaign installs and uses a French .wav speech pack from Il2 "Forgotten Battles" converted to .mp3 files for audio orders and radio chatter to replicate radio transmissions by the several French based squads whose participation made it happen from the beginning in 2015 to our final mission in 2020. *Lowering Radio Receiver using Default (L-ALT - Keypad Minus) upon several Mission starts comes in handy. *The Full Campaign will require the following IL-2 Great Battles Series Standard modules and collector planes to work: IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Moscow IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Kuban Ju-52/3m Hs-129 B2 2-V2S P-40E-1 New Lusekofte's Folly II BoX will require Phase One and Phase Two combined as a Campaign with Ju-52/3, P-40E-1 and both Moscow and Stalingrad Standard Modules. Work begins on Phase Three "Mountains to Kerch" Updated to V.5.204b One Drive Download Link: To Install for Campaign Play: 1) *Download the "Lusekoftes Folly Phase II" Zip open and extract the enclosed "data" folder to your C:\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad folder or wherever/however you have your pc set up to play BoX. ==================== Launch Aircraft! and Enjoy the Campaign, Tip Edited February 18 by [DBS]Tx_Tip Combined AXIS and VVS Missions will not work when updated 8 4 7
[DBS]Tx_Tip Posted December 9, 2023 Author Posted December 9, 2023 Without ego I can say so far this is my most versatile and difficult effort ever. But how refreshing and new this has become while I recreate the missions flying the bombers, attack aircraft and transports that I hadn't fired up in a while as flown back then. The FNBF Campaign All the Videos, Comments and Screenies embedded there. Nice Will Phase One be done for Christmas and New Year? Hope so. Lest the original @Lusekofte will give me a hard time. Chief_Mouser Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 Does this mean that Luse will be taxying into me and tearing my tail off all over again...? ? 2

Possible. This is a historical campaign after all. From the Readme: *Player may simply <click> the Auto button and let the AI take control on all Missions once Air-started or after take-off if they so desire. Using Auto-Level to stay within formation parameters is the best option. *Players need to Start-up, Taxi and Take-off with the group or flight as ordered via HUD messages lest they get their tails chopped up by a wing man. [DBS]Tx_Tip Posted January 4, 2024 Author Posted January 4, 2024 (edited) Briefings sent. *What's new? Campaign has been fully updated and ready Updated to V.5.201b The download link is of course, up above in the Original Post. Give a heads up if there is a problem and most of all... Lusekofte Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 I flown first mission and started on second, it seems I get some controller problems to sort out. But first one was a awakening. I had to go back for a second attempt and hit the target. Short and fun with no fixation from fighters on player so far

Some do play short, and I've found that they play that way whether they're actually short or not. Did I mention you'll need to reacquaint yourself with many different aircraft?

I couldn’t get throttle to work on IL 2 so I met my old friend tree in the mids of a wood in the IL 2. so I will sort out the controllers , but I am confused the throttle did work on the JU 88

Let's see now. 1) Didn't read the Description/Briefing for the Campaign/Mission. 2) Had inflight controller problems, hit a tree and needed to disconnect. You just basically described practically every FNBF mission flown by someone or another at one time or another. Did I mention that this is a historical campaign? Just josh'ing pards. Anyway, that doesn't surprise me that shifting controller profiles from one aircraft to another within the BoX software gets dodgy by itself. Not to mention in concert when you play so many different games that you do and with the controller setup you have. Could be that one needs to shut down and restart the BoX game then change the profiles. Don't know here. You'll get it figured out. Tip
Lusekofte Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 I got sick and had to take some days leave. Now going on a week night shift. So I will not be able to take to the skies until next week.
[DBS]Tx_Tip Posted January 9, 2024 Author Posted January 9, 2024 By the way if it'll help you or others with their profile settings. These planes are the flyable ones in Phase One: Ju-88A-4 Pe2-s87 Ju-52/3m IL2-41 IL2-42 LaGG3-s29 Ju-87D-3 He-111H-6 Enjoy, Tip

[DBS]Tx_Tip Posted January 17, 2024 Author Posted January 17, 2024 Be catching some rays down here in St. Pete for a month or so. Out of puter range. We’ll continue with “To the Volga and Back” when I get back. Have a blessed one, Tip

[DBS]Tx_Tip Posted February 20, 2024 Author Posted February 20, 2024 There we go. Looks like a new make-over for the P-40. Biggles and the 1.JaVA boys used this often when available and with good purchase as friend or foe. Look for it in Phase Two.
[DBS]Tx_Tip Posted March 7, 2024 Author Posted March 7, 2024 Nice to be back with mission 03 Peshchersky. A good way to get reacquainted with the regulars of the 216th ShAD Group for a IL2-42 rocket attack with frontal coverage provided by LAL Yaks. Wasn't paying attention so cracked up on the runway and missed a 2nd sortie with the =FI= bunch. Now let's get back to creating the rest of Phase Two: To the Volga and Back. Phase Three? The sea and mountains of Kuban await. Good Times.

[DBS]Tx_Tip Posted April 6, 2024 Author Posted April 6, 2024 You had a problem downloading to your desk or laptop computer but was able to download with your smartphone? It's possible the Microsoft One Drive had a hiccup. Hopefully you were able to get the Campaign started and running on the device of your choosing. [DBS]Tx_Tip Posted February 18 Author Posted February 18 Out with Maintenance Due to combined flying in AXIS or Allied planes break the Campaign following Updates. Too bad. Has to be split. Have to make two different Campaigns experience the FNBF missions either Axis or Allied only. Have a Blessed Day Tip 1
[DBS]Tx_Tip Posted June 18 Author Posted June 18 The new stuff being created now. So far working pretty well. Not bad. Takes time though. Changing from making VVS and Luftwaffe. Just one of FNBF's Kuban actual mission results such as "Volunteers" on attacks against 2 or 3 objectives within the large map can produce very interesting SP missions themselves. Have a great day, Tip 1
velemir56 Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Dear Tx_Tip. I don"t see the One Drive Download Link download link. Is it possible to update it or make it in Mediafire
