FTC_ChilliBalls Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 (edited) Hey guys, I've been trying to solve this issue for quite a while now but I just can't seem to find a solution. It looks like shadows that don‘t perfectly align with the grid of the LCD panels keep having what looks like a single or sometimes several squares of shadow that behave like Alialising. I'm sharing a link to a recording I uploaded to Giphy, I hope the compression isn't too bad. If you look at the farthest pillar, you can see what I mean. https://giphy.com/gifs/vr-il2-quest-3-jWH8CuJ4tO8Vp3jsAm/fullscreen Anyone else notice this? I've had it in several Quest 3s, so it likely isn't caused by a faulty unit. It happens regardless of whether I use OpenComposite or SteamVR, or whether I use Virtual Desktop or Air Link. Given that I never had this problem on my Rift S, perhaps its an issue with my GPU's encoder? Edited November 29, 2023 by FTC_ChilliBalls
horendus Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 I get this in the menu as well with my quest pro system. Doesn't impact gameplay so I ignore it 1
Panzerlang Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 Same with all the headsets I've had. I get grids on some trees in-game too, amongst other artifacts. 1
354thFG_Drewm3i-VR Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 I think these are compression artifacts.
