Sayan Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Gentlemens, good afternoon. I didn’t find any operation details on the use of these airplanes in the profile topic from Han. But I only need engine modes, what is the max. speed is critical, RPM, and the composition of the mixture is critical. According to the old R0F memory, I give the full mixture at launch, and then lean it to 90-85% Thanks in advance.
Zooropa_Fly Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 I think 85% mix is optimal at lower altitudes, with the exception of the French planes which are 80%. S! 1
Sayan Posted November 28, 2023 Author Posted November 28, 2023 (edited) RPM для SSW D.IV и Sopwith Snipe? I damage the engine on SSW D.IV about half of the flights. Edited November 28, 2023 by Sayan
Patricks Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 (edited) I lean the mixture out (on all planes that have the option) until I see a drop in RPM, then enrichen a couple points to get RPM back to max. Seems to work well... Edited November 28, 2023 by Patricks 1

But I'm interested in the maximum permitted engine rpm, If exceeded, the motor will break down. The ROF had instructions on this matter, for example, for SPAD-13 maximal 2200 rpm, Nieuport-17 1200 rpm, and so on... Edited November 28, 2023 by Sayan

I have the "custom.dds" picture overlays (that show in the cockpit) for those two, hopefully they help.. Top one is the Snipe, bottom (with less info) is the SSW..
