JG1_Vonrd Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 I have noticed numerous threads locked out with the comment "no necroposting". I'm curious as to why this is a no=no. I see nothing referring to this in the rules. Some old threads are sometimes still relevant and I don't see the harm in reviving them. What am I missing? Would it be better to start a new thread and reference the old post? I'm not trying to be belligerent... and I don't really have a dog in the fight... just curious. 1
Noisemaker Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 I agree, a thread from (checks calendar), a little over one and a half years ago, that speaks to the (still) relatively new C-47, shouldn't just be tossed in the dumpster, requiring a new thread. Not going against any mod's decisions (as that's also not allowed), but thinking that we could use some more clarity on this rule, and what truly constitutes a necro-thread. 1
1CGS LukeFF Posted November 28, 2023 1CGS Posted November 28, 2023 The closed topic was about stock skins they wanted to see included with the C-47. If someone wants to see new skins made, ask away in the skins section. ? Digging up a 2-year-old topic here in the main forum to ask for a skin to be made is not the right place.
Gambit21 Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 That all makes sense. Where to we inquire about MiG 15 bis or F-84 skins? ? 7
Trooper117 Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 The answer is simple, if you don't want people posting in a 'necro thread', then remove the bloody thread completely... 1
