What are your frames w/4090 on 4K max il2 settings?

I figured when I bought latest and greatest system that it would have no problem running this game on everything maxed in 4K resolution (non-vr) on 55” OLED LG C2 TV. I’ve found I’ve got as low as 40 FPS and it will bounce between my tv’s max hz of 120 hz / frames but averages in the 50 fps area.

 

IL2 settings are maxed (e.g. MSAA anti-aliasing x8, HDR enabled on TV and in-game, ssao on, etc…)

 

Is this expected behavior on this game?  What is everyone else getting with similar pc / tv / resolution specs?  Also what settings do you run to play in 4K?

Also, my temps are good on both cpu and graphics card never getting above 72 on cpu and below 53 on 4090 when flying on these settings. 

 

pc specs:

 

i9-14900k w/420mm arctic freezer AIO

msi liquid 240mm AIO on 4090 graphics card

64GB Gskill 6800 MHz Ram on XMP

M2 SSD

Windows 11

MSAA is a frame killer.

Try tunning that down

It is really strange that you are around 50fps even using MSAAx8.  You should be above 100fps with your system all maxed-out with mirrors off.

What map, plane, scenario are you testing?

What do you guys recommend for AA settings? Is MSAA really that much better? Do you run AA in sim or through NVIDIA control panel?

 

I just got a new monitor, even though I play in VR but just wanted to test how my g-synch monitor runs the sim for fun cranked up.

That doesnt sound right. Prior to VR on my 4080 I was getting better frames with that with everything Maxed.  Ill sit down with you soon and get this ironed out.
