Control rear gunner with joystick

I currently use the mouse to control the rear gunner on two-seat planes like the Bristol, DH-4, DFW, and the new FE2b. I usually do this while flying the plane and gunning for myself. That means that, to fly and gun, I need a hand on my stick, on my throttle, and on my mouse, or I need to go auto-level before I can gun. I would like to try to move the gun controls to the mini analog stick on my throttle, but I don't know what the control is that I need to assign. I know that in Tank Crew the gunner can aim the gun using a joystick, but what is the control for aiming an airplane turret gun? Also, less important, but does anyone know if I can fire the pilot's synchronized guns while I'm in the back seat gunning for myself while flying? There have been times when I've gotten in the perfect position to shoot an enemy plane, but don't have time to change position back to the pilot.

The joystick controls cannot be used to control the turrets in aircraft.

Well that answers my question. I'm a bit disappointed, considering that a joystick can be used to control a tank turret, and I don't really see the difference between a Bristol and a Sherman... Oh well. I may look into using the analog stick to control the mouse, and then use that to control the turret. Just means more stuff to run in the back ground to get what I want. Even if that works, I'm not sure if controlling the turret with a stick will work well in the middle of a wild dogfight, but I want to give it a shot first.

To be fair, Gascan, I used the joystick for Tank Crew and hated it. Went back to using the mouse.

See you in Flying Circus!
