Hi.

Briefly.

There is no funtion of the mouse click or escape key in the main menu. Mouse does move after alt tab down and back.

Detail.

I have tried everything from all suggestions I can find about editing the setup to reinstalling all my drivers.

Basically when it first starts thay mouse I frozen. I alt tab out and go back and it moves.

It will highlight the meue on the right bit won't click anything. Escape won't allow exit either.

The only time I could get it to click is when I deleted the controllers so it picked them up again.

Then ican only click the cancel button. Its as if only the left part of the screen works with the mouse.

i even teied assigning a keyboard key insted of the mouse button in the configs. But it was no help. Trued different mice and so on.

I'm totally at a loss as to where to go with this.

Does anybody have any ideas? It always used to work and now all of a sudden it doesn't. I suspect a windows update doesn't like my hardware.

I have completely uninstalled and reinstalling overnight. So will see if this works.

Am also going to update the bios.

All drivers have been updated.

I don't what graphics settings could do this to edit in the startup.cfg

So if anybody has any suggestions that would be welcome.

OK so I updated the bios.

Updated all the drivers for everything.

Windows 11 loved that.

Reinstalled the game from scratch.

And I'm still stuck. It's opening in only a partial screen as the res is now low.

Still can't click anything or get out with the escape key.

This has to be a game thing. Does anybody have any idea?

My only last hope is to try a really old version of my graphics driver.

Right I got somewhere.

All the divers bios and reinstalling did nothing.

If you alt tab the mouse moves but as mentioned won't click.

Now if you unplug the mouse and then plug it in while.the game.is running it suddenly works as normal.

You still always have to alt tab it. Which I never used to. But it somehow detects the mouse buttons then works.

Still this hack has got it working. I haven't tested if it's doing the same with other USB things like joystick yet. Considering how many I have this could be an issue if it is.

Is this a windows 11 issue?

I'm really not sure. It's the first time I have ever had this issue.

Nobody has any thoughts on this?

I'm considering getting a pcie usb card to see if that sorts it out.

Try a different mouse. Or open a notepad window when stuck and see ifyou get letters or numbers or somethng else printed, then you have a stuck command that you need to clear. (Mind you with the game running in the background) You know alt+ tab between fore and background tasks. Has the stick a stuck key or something wlse that is sending signals to the game?

Hi.

I have tried another mouse and alt tab to the desktop is the only way to get the mouse moving at all.

It's definitely not an issue with the mouse or keyboard themselves.

I also don't get this issue with anything else that runs at all. So it's probably not a hardware issue with the PC.

I have done all the divers for everything. So I see no issue there.

The only way it suddenly works is to alt tab down so the mouse then moves. Then while in game unplug and plug back in the USB mouse. So it's redetected in Windows.

Suddenly it works then.

It doesn't always if you.restert the game however.

I'm still to test this with joysticks and things to see if this is just the mouse or every USB item.

I don't know if this is an issue with the game and a recent Windows 11 update or what. It's never done this before. And nothing else does.
