ZOBLex_Nihilo Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 What about IL-2 black friday super retail store ? IL-2 GB would be well advised to allow fine retail prices on all Campaigns and Collectors planes and vehicles as it was done by the past. I see too --reading many posts related to -- that comms about devs and futur of IL-2 are totally clipped and just give the pretty minimum. They are no leader now that was able to communicate with passion -- as it was by the past...... --- ? ? ? Wake up or do something else. Regards Lex_Nihilo 1
Zooropa_Fly Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 'Black Fridays' should be binned forever. The human race just embarrasses itself on such occasions. 6
1CGS LukeFF Posted November 17, 2023 1CGS Posted November 17, 2023 There is likely a sale coming, but when is still to be determined.
Gambit21 Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Russians don't do "Black Friday" and good on them. 1
keithbriscoe99 Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 My wallet is out... entice me and I'll buy!!! ?

Interesting ? Here it used to be basically secret (was happening for years before I heard of it) now in recent years it’s all over media and now whole month of it. So not so “black” anymore 1
Flying_Anchor Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 You're right. It's mostly 'black november', not 'black friday'. 1
ACG_Bussard Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 (edited) Price research on a statistical basis showed that IL-2 products recently become cheaper after Black Friday,Black week or Black month ...(as well as many other products since years) Edited November 18, 2023 by Bussard*
CountZero Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 next general steam sale is on 21st, so it will probably be for GB stuff also, here and there
[CPT]Crunch Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 Black friday is for gearing up on discounted hardware upgrades, your already in a place of pain if your looking for outs just to get into the game.
1CGS LukeFF Posted November 18, 2023 1CGS Posted November 18, 2023 Speaking of Black Friday sales, MFG has their Crosswind pedals on sale right now through the end of the month.
[CPT]milopugdog Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 Having the day where everyone goes into a ravenous frenzy to spend money on stuff they don't need immediately after spending a day giving thanks for what we have with loved ones is peak American, to be honest.

Interesting insight for european, as we don´t celebrate Thanksgiving. Black something is all about a buying frenzy induced dopamine release. There are better opportunities for discounts.

Reminds me how, years ago, I was having Thanksgiving dinner at an Army dining facility, and the local news was on the TV. Up came a news report about people lining up in droves for some stupid Black Friday sale at a local retail outlet; the next story was about a local soup kitchen being short on food to provide to those in need. The irony was so thick you could have cut it with a knife. 1 1
Trooper117 Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 We'll soon be having Black Friday every day of the week... just you wait. ?☠️ 1
ACG_Bussard Posted November 20, 2023 Posted November 20, 2023 So regardless of all the talk about black something, I'm going to make a good example and I've left a few alms here for the fall. Maybe this will help so that we can hear and see some news about the new project sooner.

RavenSystem Posted November 20, 2023 Posted November 20, 2023 I am waiting for Steam too. Many credits to spend.
MajorMagee Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 It's on now. https://il2sturmovik.com/store/battle-of-normandy/
RavenSystem Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 Credits from Steam wallet can not be used in Il-2 web store. I hope they have discounts at Steam like other times.
FTC_Jimbo265 Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 @devs any news about when the steam sale will start?
FTC_Jimbo265 Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Is there any chance to change from Steam to the standalone version without losing all the contents? The discount on Steam differs a lot from the standalone discounts here (f.e. Chieftrain, hurricane mk II…). Why is that the case?

No. Just make a store account here and link it to your Steam account, and then all of your Webstore purchases can be used in the Steam version of Battle of Stalingrad. The bonus is, if you buy for example Flying Circus or Battle of Normandy here, you can play them independently of the Steam version. That allows a contingency for if Steam is down; or if you like to test mods, etc. I buy all of my DLC at the website now partly for that reason.
