Early War Tigers

This Mod provides a couple of Early War Tigers in Dark Grey and Winter White over Dark Grey. Both user playable, and New AI vehicles are included. I saw these in my copy of Tiger I On the Eastern front by Jean Restayn and thought they might be a nice addition to the collection. The textures are provided without numbers, so they are compatible with the new tactical code mod.

If you would like the Dark Grey version to be without the side guards and filters as well, you can simply borrow the Alpha layer from the Winter White version to make the change. The initial vehicles deployed in the Fall of 1942 were delivered to the Eastern Front like this. Unfortunately, you do then get shadows showing up from the invisible components, so it's a choice you have to make for yourself.

 

Likewise you could use the Alpha layer from the Dark Grey version to restore all the missing components to the Winter White version.

 

The Mod installs a somewhat neutralized pzvih1_02.dds file to avoid having stray Dark Yellow components showing up on the Dark Grey vehicle. You will notice these recolored components on all of your Tigers when the Mod is active, but in most cases their steely color will look less out of place than Yellow on Grey would.
