1CGS LukeFF Posted November 4, 2023 1CGS Posted November 4, 2023 I went out today to see Steve Hinton fly Mosquito FB VI PZ 474 at the Plane of Fame Museum at the airport in Chino, California. Besides it being a great restoration, I was able to get a lot of good close up pics of it, and of course the flyable was great. And a pair or Merlins? LOUD! ? Hinton stayed around afterward and answered questions for about 15 minutes, which was nice. It was also encouraging to see a lot of younger people there in attendance (probably a few hundred, by my guess). It wasn't just a bunch of old dudes. ? For the curious, Steve said he's flown three different Mosquitoes and has about 60 hours on them. In PZ 474, he used a max of 8 lbs boost today and cruised at 4 lbs. I'll try to upload some video later on. 6 1
