Hello everyone,

My name is Raúl Suárez

A few of us friends are from 1/JSpan:

The vast majority of us are pilots from the IL-2 Sturmovik era from Uncle Oleg's era.

And soon we will return to the pure IL-2 competitions. We are looking for new pilots or "ASES" who speak Spanish, or want to speak it, to participate in international competitions, and for routine flights.

So if you are interested in joining a Luftwaffe squadron with Own SKINs.
If you feel up to it, leave a note or post introducing yourself. The members from years ago will return as a Germany squad
It all begins in the various gliding training fields.

The Condor Legion

The Luftwaffe begins the Second World War (WW2) with a previous experience that was very useful: the Spanish Civil War. This conflict had the particularity that in the first months it was fought with surpluses from WW1 and at the end with prototypes from WW2. The basic element of the Luftwaffe was the “Kette”, a formation of three fighters; On the other hand, very common training in all air forces in the pre-war period. In the “dogfights” they engaged in with the Republicans (mainly with Soviet fighters), they realized how heavy it is to move (making continuous turns in space) three fighters in formation. Thus was born the “Rotte” formed by the leader and his team, which quickly became official as basic training for German pilots. The concept was simple and practical. Both planes were flying about 400 meters apart, the leader slightly ahead. In this way their six covered each other. Two “Rotte” (one “Schwarm”), flying at different heights, covered a greater field of vision. The function of the point is to take care of its leader and carry out the orders given by it. Furthermore, the leader has the responsibility to protect the point of him. In this regard, it is interesting to note that Saburo Sakai, the most famous pilot of the A6M2 Zero or “Zeke”, always stated that he felt more satisfied with not having lost any of his points in more than 200 aerial combats than in the more than 60 takedowns achieved.

Gradually, the “Rotte” was imitated by all belligerent countries, in some cases at great human and material cost.

The organization of the different hunting elements was as follows:

One Rotte: 2 fighters.
Two Rotte: One Schwarm (patrol) – 4 fighters.
Three Schwarm: One Staffel (squadron) – 12 fighters.
Three Staffel: One Jagdgruppe (fighter squadron) – 36 fighters.
Three Jagdgruppe: One Jagdeschwader (fighter wing) – 108 fighters. small, the idea is to be a few Schwarm. The aircraft that were to serve in the German Luftwaffe were of a new era and technically superior to most aircraft of other nations in the 1930s. The aircraft that were to serve in the German Luftwaffe were of a new era and technically superior to most of the aircraft of other nations in the 1930s. You will not have to worry about blade steps, fuel mixture but rather dedicate yourself fully to shooting down enemy aircraft either on the Eastern Front or on the Western Front.
