MajorMagee Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 These two mods change the grass files, to provide some different variations that represent early, and late summer. Both have increased coverage density, so you may notice a reduction in frame rate when these are installed. They look best with a Grass Distance of 300m in your start-up settings. Download Grass Mods Here Credit goes to Off_Winters for the original flower mod texture that was modified for these to better control the color shift related to the application of a Color Overlay from the underlying Ground Texture. The file structure is compatible with JSGME. This assumes you have the JSGME Mods folder installed inside your 1C Game Studios directory next to the IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles folder. If JSGME is installed somewhere else then you will have to change the folder structure to match. Only one grass mod install can be active at a time. MajorMagee Posted October 30, 2023 Author Posted October 30, 2023 If these have an unacceptable impact on your computer's frame rate, you can easily edit the MaskRange factors in the three text files to a slightly lower value. It's easy to go too low, and then the grass will simply disappear. Save a back-up copy first just in case you need to restore things back the way they were.

Would you recommend using it while flying aircraft or just for tanks? I tried it flying a/c but I'd like to see effects at a farther distance. What would you recommend changing in the files so that I can view effects at a farther distance?
MajorMagee Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 (edited) Either way it was intended for when you are on the ground. Grass is only rendered out to 300m. Settings beyond that either do nothing, or lead to graphical glitches. Edited January 27 by MajorMagee 1
