dannyGrim Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Hey all, I’ve had a very long extended break from Simming due to real life. Kids are a bit older now and I’ve started to get back into it. Recently picked up a VR headset and bought flying circus volume 1. Absolutely amazing in VR! I am having issues with my rudder pedals though, initially I tried tweaking sensitivity etc in-game settings but still found it way too responsive, bouncing all around the target haha. I watched a target YouTube tutorial and kind of understand the curve editing stuff but unsure how it interacts with the game. should I reset all game axis back to default and then the target curves will work? If I tweak in game at all does it override the target software or does it merge them in some weird way. how do I make sure the target curves I’ve set are being used? having a blast in the campaigns and quick flights although the ai seems too easy. Good for me though as mentioned struggling to keep guns on a target, hopefully see some of you around in a mp server in the future. salute.
BatSpoggy Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 I don't know if this is still an open question but I'll chime in in case anyone else asks the same thing. I use target extensively and the changes you make there will be applied on top of any curves set within the game, so I'd recommend that when making an axis non-linear you only do it in one location and leave the other one at the setting that keeps it linear. Otherwise tuning one will have escalating effects at different control deflections. With that said, I'd recommend setting them in target and using the script editor to do it with more control than the GUI. Target's scripting language is a slightly modified version of c and you can do a huge amount of stuff with it. You can even use it to set up profiles that can be switched with a button that adds preset offsets to the control centre position, allowing you to have an equivalent of adjusted trim tabs for different aircraft. Until the axis offset option was added with was almost necessary to fly the Dr1 comfortably as it requires a huge amount of forward stick to fly level otherwise.
