yes, many that were not in the plan were launched before IAR

You can see the roadmap images, right? Of all the planes shown there, the WACO, R.E.8, F.E.2b are yet to be released and are shown as being released before the IAR. Then it kinda automatically follows that those three planes will appear before the IAR....

It's taken a long time, but the devs have previously confessed that they released early access for this plane too quickly.

They probably won't do the same again.

Releasing early access to soon, yes, that I understand... releasing a few snips of info to wet the appetite of the planes fans, that should not be a drama...

It is beind developed by a third party, and third parties usually aren't exclusively employed on their contributions (i.e. they have other jobs). It should be unsurprising if it makes schedules harder to predict.

 

As for me, personally, I don't think there is ever a bad time to announce an IAR80. I'm quite happy to wait so long as we get this charming aircraft. But thag is just me.

 

P.S. When BoS was announced they ran polls for the premium plans and the Macchi beat the IAR! I'd hoped they'd eventually get around to doing both... so in some ways, I've been waiting/hoping a lot longer than it has been announced.
