Oswald Boelcke Commemoration Flight, 2023

Kameraden and gallant opponents,

Tomorrow (Saturday) is the 107th anniversary of  Oswald Boelckes death. Like each year, Jasta 2 plans to make a commemoration flight for our namesake and spiritual founder - if numbers permit it this year, which is not certain. We try to

keep things simple, and hold the flight on Flugpark, at 20:00 CET (18:00 GMT, 19:00 Lisbon/UK). The plan, like each year, is to take off from North German airfield, perform a flyover of Entente space and return. The flyover is intended to be peaceful; pilots flyong both sides are invited to form up, requested to not attack the flyover, and asked to set gunners to cease fire . See you there, and watch for collisions!

Too bad mission ended before we could complete the flight over Bapaume, but was a great flight none the less!
