Is it possible to make the "counting / confirmation" of aerial victories more difficult?

Hi,

When I fly currently sp missions (e.g. created with EMG) I am credited with very many aerial victories.

Very often one for each slightly damaged plane.

For flying my "Excel Log Book Campaigns" it is not a problem, I count only the possible confirmed kills.

But for using these missions for a scripted campaign where the mission results are counted by IL2 GB it would be helpful to avoid unrealistic kill numbers.

-Are there mission settings already available to make this more difficult?

-Or is it possible to create with the Mission Editor a "Group" with some MCUs (Triggers, ...)  that influence the way of counting aerial victories.

-For fast mission production (ca. 2minutes / mission if the mission is already open in ME) it is importent, that this group can be either just placed in the mission with "import from file" / without linking to mission objects or if only 1 link to players plane is required.

And when no linking to mission objects required the group could be already pre-installed in a (EMG) template file without manual installation.

-A too complex design that has to be linked with too many individual mission objects would take too much time for installation and would be not suitable for me.

This is just a request, I am aware that it is maybe not possible to be realized with IL2 GB.

Many thanks in advance!

I think you can only do this in the ME by plane 'advanced settings' and destroyed or killed via message links to a counter, but i don't know how to connect that to the game screen showing a visual display other than a large amount of subtitles '1st plane down, 2nd plane down, ...." etc.

Nope, none of this is possible. This is hardcoded in IL2 itself and is not something that can be changed or influenced by mission scripting in any way.

As AEthelraedUnraed said, any plane you damage, even with only a single bullet and then subsequently crashes or dies in some other way during the mission will get credited to your kills. The Devs are the only ones who could change that and it would require altering the parameters of what constitutes a kill for the player.

In the past you had to be the last one to damage the EAC before it crashed to get credit, but I believe it was changed because people complained that AI wingmen were stealing too many kills.

You could file a bug report or suggestion and see if it gets on their to do list. I never paid that much attention to kills personally for it to deserve that much work to change it. In real life you could claim damaged, probable kill or confirmed kill. That would be great to see, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

The kill counts in real life were usually extremely inflated, so the fact that they’re inflated in the game is actually very realistic.
