TM TARGET for TQS

For anyone interested, TM has released the updated version of TARGET to include VIPER TQS, and Panel, components, new User and Setup files. Mounting solutions and dimensions of Throttle and Panel mounting. We can finally update our "TM_Combined" profile for IL2. And bypass the 60 button Achilles heal of IL2.

Where can I dl this new vresion? On the TM site, when searching for "download" or "software" or "Target" I get

How do you like this throttle? I still have my trusty Warthog how does it compare?

Here is the specific link to the current drivers and TARGET software for the Viper TQS Mission Pack kit.

 

The throttle and button box is quite different from the Warthog as it is attempting to replicate an F-16 setup.  As I am not a real pilot I cannot comment on its verisimilitude but I do like it for that purpose.  Since none of the IL-2 aircraft that I use are anything like a modern jet fighter aircraft then all I can say is your mileage will vary on that score.  It is a nice setup and aside from the tedious key mapping exercise that any throttle poses a virtual pilot I can recommend it.  The Warthog has been around a while and it does work well so there is lots of support to be found here for that unit across the virtual pilot game universe.  If you struggle like I do sorting out button mapping then that is a consideration for the here and now.  That said, I expect that the Viper TQS will amass users and with that support will come.  I hope this comment was useful.
