I have seen some videos that pilots fly with a more rearward view with greater vision than the one the SIM gives you in flight.

How do you make it possible to see from further back on the FW 190?

You can move the pilots head using the highlighted keys.

I don't have TIR or VR... am one of those nasty hat switch mashers ?

 

I set nearly all of my view points back as far as they can go to give me a better FoV. Spotting can be a bit more difficult as a result, but it means I don't have to pan around the cockpit as much to see what's going on

VR lets you move your head (and thus your viewpoint) around at will, similar to what you see in the video.

Some years ago before VR I used the combination with moving / rotating with coolie head and it worked:
