"Fight For Erzovka" Combined Arms Event! (October, 22)

High all!

 

Welcome tankers and pilots. I've partnered up with the SCG squad to host a combined arms event this Sunday (10/22).

 

 

There are a lot of features to cover, but the biggest by far is the dynamic frontline. What really makes this frontline unique is that it updates instantaneously. That means no waiting around for the mission to role over to see your teams progress. The whole system has been optimized for tankers to be able to take and hold ground, as well as open up the possibilities for meaningful paratrooper flights. On top of that, secondary objectives are semi-random, and include:

Paradrops

 

Ground Attack & Combat Air Patrol 

 

Level Bombing

 

Tanking

 

Tank Busting

 

as well as warehouse targets, bridges, ships, trains, and recon.
 

Plane sets and vehicle loadouts era dependent and are also semi-random, presenting a new and interesting mix of planes at the start of every mission.

 

The goal of this event is to return to the roots of IL-2 and to really lean into the combined arms strengths of the Great Battle series.

Count me in! I’ll be there. Got to test this while it was being developed. Can’t wait to see it in action full scale!
