AI plane engines 'sputtering' on takeoff

I'm having a weird issue with a mission I'm building where some of the planes I have set to take off from a runway have their engines start and stop constantly once they begin their takeoff roll (kind of like a slow sputter of the engine).  I initially thought this might be due to them not being set on the ground properly, so I put them about 2 tenths of a meter higher than the ground to make sure on spawn, but it didn't help.  I noticed next that both of the planes were set to Ace skill, but even dropping them down to High or Normal didn't fix this.  None of the other planes (which were all initially set to High or Normal) have this issue.  The planes that do this will eventually get into the air when this 'sputter' thing stops, but I've not found any reason for it.

 

Is this a known problem, or is there something that causes this?

What planes exactly? The issue may be with the air temperature and pressure.

I have this problem with most German Aircraft and some Russian/British either wont taxi or runway takeoff, most have to start in air.

The planes in question are all Focke-Wulf 190 A3s.  The weird thing is that the ones with this issue are grouped and Targeted to another plane as a formation.  None of the other planes in the formations do this.  I have even deleted the planes entirely, re-added them as new plane objects and set them up the same way - with exactly the same results.

I have 2 missions(take off and land) 1 on Rheinland map and 1 on Winter Stalingrad cant post on here as too large files 10mb and 6mb.
