AKA_PumpkiCraterman1 Posted October 11, 2023 Posted October 11, 2023 I have flown the BF 110 quite a bit online and offline, with no troubles whatsoever concerning taxing. Today I was online, flying on a server I normally fly on, and couldn't taxi AT ALL. I could turn out of it's parked location, but after that no control (which seems weird). It's like the brakes had zero effect. Has something changed with the ground handling with this aircraft or any ideas? I was loaded with bombs, but normally I am in a 110.
MAJ_stug41 Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 (edited) Perhaps you were on a different type of ground than usual, or accidentally feathered your props at some point? Unfortunately brakes are more of a light suggestion in this game, so they barely work. Edited October 12, 2023 by stug41
AKA_PumpkiCraterman1 Posted October 12, 2023 Author Posted October 12, 2023 No, I don't use pedals, I just use key bindings. And they are working according to the animations of the toe brakes. I don't think I would have feathered the prop, it was on auto and I didn't hit any other keys than I normally do and tried more than once. I got off the server and tried a quick flight take-off and it all worked fine, so I have no idea what's going on. I will try the server again tomorrow and see. I know sometimes strong low level winds can mess you up, but I couldn't steer either way, right or left.
AEthelraedUnraed Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Hmm, could it be that your parking brakes were on? Or that your tail wheel was locked?
AKA_PumpkiCraterman1 Posted October 12, 2023 Author Posted October 12, 2023 That is the most likely explanation, but I'm not sure it's even lockable in a 110, and I know I didn't lock it. Besides that, the plane would roll out of its parking place and make one full 90 degree turn before the problems would start. I know that can be a big issue in the 190, and I even double checked my key bindings for the tail wheel, and checked that a few times and no change.
[CPT]Crunch Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Or the mission had high winds on. Happens once in a while.
AKA_PumpkiCraterman1 Posted October 12, 2023 Author Posted October 12, 2023 Well, I tried again today and it worked normally. There was a fair amount of wind on the server today with no adverse affects. I'm thinking maybe just a glitch or something.
RedeyeStorm Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Tailwheel on 110 is free castering and it doesn’t have a parking brake.
AKA_PumpkiCraterman1 Posted October 28, 2023 Author Posted October 28, 2023 Was on the same server today, and the throttle completely disconnected from the plane. The other controls seemed to be working, but the throttle made no change. And this was AFTER I taxied to the runway. Game's got some issues.

If it was a game issue others would be reporting the same thing, but they aren't. 1
czech693 Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 Since you're using a keyboard for brakes I think that's where your problem lies. Remove the keys you use for brakes and look where they were situated. Is there some debris or something that could block the keypress or jam a key press? If that's clear try another keyboard if you have one, or if not, set other keys to the brakes and try them. If they work then it's the two keys originally assigned as brakes.
AKA_PumpkiCraterman1 Posted October 28, 2023 Author Posted October 28, 2023 Yeah, I will give that a try. Funny thing is, I cannot get the issue when not online. I don't know what means though.
