Bomber escort mission

I'm trying to do an escort mission where my flight of 3 fighters escorts a group of friendly bombers.

I added some AI fighters to intercept the bombers but when they spawn in, they go directly after me and the other fighters, completely disregarding the bombers. How do I make it so their primary objective is to kill the bombers?

Use Command Attack Target -> Bombers instead of Command Attack Area. With Attack Area, the ai will do what most pilots would do... Prioritize the greatest threat first - the Bomber's escorts. Once that threat is eliminated, then the bombers are easy pickings.

But you can use the Attack Target command to force the ai to attack the bombers instead.
