Im running a Quest 2 and have a quick question re cockpit limits. When I look around, i can stick my head out of the cockpit, even with the canopy closed! Now, obviously, this isnt very realistic, how do i stop this happening?

Stop sticking your head out? I would have to make a conscience effort to do so which I don't. I hate the limitations.

You can also enforce limitations in the settings menu ( expert or custom settings only)

I agree with dburne, just don't stick your head out if you don't want to.  If you use the settings to limit, it can be disorienting since you will move your actual head out of the cockpit space, but in your goggles you will be stopped.

Try the C47 and see how bad VR head movement allowance is.  Then look at real life in-cockpit footage and see how much easier it is to move head in real life.

In-game in C47 it is like the pilot is wearing a huge space helmet in the cockpit.

For this reason I will not purchase any more transport aircraft from IL-2.

The fighters are not so bad and one can easily adapt, but unfortunately not all fighters are equal in this respect, lol.  Some are still like wearing a space helmet for just moving head a little forward whilst looking down; strange stuff going on in some ac.

Happy landings,
