The small explosions in Stalingrad

I just set up a training mission (for all) in Stalingrad and when testing it out there are small explosions in Stalingrad. I can't find how those are set up. Something built-in?

Yes, the artillery explosions around the Stalingrad city are part of the map and can not be turned off.

Yup. Actually, they're part of the forest map, which is a strange place to store such a thing, but so be it.

Perhaps from back in the day when first releasing it not knowing how to proceed
