I really like N17, much fun. But, as for D. II, I still haven’t figured out how to aim becker canon. In forward position I mean. Any tips?

Don't forget the primary mission of the single seater scouts: Intercepting two-seaters that did the reconnaissance and artillery spotting. So you don't shoot in front of you, but you fly slightly below and behind the plane you are attacking, best if they don't spot you...

I see the Albatros D.2 includes a field mod to add a temperature gauge, and in the ROF version I vaguely recall we could operate the radiator... but when I try to move the radiator in the Albatros D.2 I don't see any movement, nor does the technochat indicate any change to the radiator. I also have turned off any engine assists.

Is the radiator on the Albatros D.2 operable for us? If it is, where would I see any visual indicator that the radiator is opening/closing?

(Off topic: I also have similar questions for the Halberstadt D.II. After a few quick flights it appears to me that the only engine control available on the Halberstadt D.II is throttle, with no controls over mixture or the radiator (and of course, no blip since it's an inline engine). Did this plane have automatic mixture and radiator controls? Or, does our in-game version simply have automatic mixture and radiator controls, with no way for us to control them?

I'd also really like to know the max. rpm before damaging the Halberstadt D.II's engine. )

Thank you, it sounds logical, but how to deal with those erratic nieuports??

Forget the Becker. Use your speed and two MG's, you already have the edge on the Nieuports! :)

Question about FC3 in general:  why is it skewed so heavily towards Entente?  Central gets 2 planes to their 6.  Could have given Central the Roland CII or the Albatros DIII.

FC 2 was skewed towards Entente as well: 6 to 4.

I know the Entente have more planes available in ROF...but still what's up with how you're releasing them?

It's one of the current mysteries surrounding the forums... nothing makes sense lately.

It's been a long time since I flew the D.II in Rise of Flight, but I believe it was only the Late model that had an adjustable radiator.

Yes, it has just a throttle, i.e., no control over the radiators or fuel mixture.

So is there going to be a late model Albatros DII? I thought that Flying Circus was supposed to include all planes from Rise of Flight.

No D.II Late model is planned, per Han.

As of Becker in Albatros D.II - it fires over the prop and requires a gunsight set along the cannon; you had to move your head very low (chin on control column) and look upwards to aim. In RoF the iron sights mod was automatically changing to sights zeroed for Becker if cannon and iton sights were present, and that was the way to aim the cannon. In FC, the sights are always aligned with (absent) machine guns, and there is no way to aim the Becker. The Becker aligned iron sights from RoF are just not implemented.
