Sakkay Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I think it's beautiful..and realistic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Lk67WwXcQQ
YoYo Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Hmmm, ok, but it isnt IL-2 BoS, it isnt Early Access, it wasnt a period from Stalingrad Battle. Wrong Forum and Topic. 1
Pringliano Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Sakkay, no problem bringing that theme here - after all IL2 BOS and DCS World are both excellent simulators, and both have their very strong points, so, it'll only be great to be able to fly the "Dora" in DCS and the A3 here :-)
Uufflakke Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Video has been posted already. Twice. http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/8544-dcs-fw190-d9-release-countdown/ http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/1212-discussion-about-dcsww2-goes-here/page-44
Revvin Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Looking forward to flying this, I never thought of the Dora as being a particularly good looking aircraft but its really growing on me with each preview they release
Brano Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 1/4 of revi is obscured by ''bar''.And lower panel is visible so-so.It is done in same way as devs did it here with BoS.But for gameplay purpose, they lifted pilot and revi up,as they chose as priority for you to see your enemy properly. If you make the bar thinner, you will have nose of plane there instead.Time to admit it,boys, that without working refraction shader, noone will ever make correct cockpit for Fw. Both DCS and BoS pits are done very well it terms of 3D.And I wish that devs here in BoS put revi and pilots head where it belongs, even if it will obscure part of revi. 1

There are, like 15+ versions of fw190 done by Mathias from Classic Hangar and they are all done right.
Bearcat Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Very nice .. not that I have time to dive into it.. I don't know if I would want to go into all that each and everytime I started my aircraft.. but nice. Some days you just want to press a button and go.
Tektolnes Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 There's an auto startup key in all modules if you can't be bothered to go through the process yourself.
SeriousFox Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 I think it's not about refraction. Even old IL-2 cockpit is better and closer to the real life one compare to BoS. They just need to rework the whole 3D model which is hard thing to do right know.
Brano Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 With DCS Dora you have several additional things to do with start up.Nice to have but nothing I cant live without. 1.Manual magnetos switch 2.Selection of fuel tanks 3.Circuit breakers manual switch (right panel) 4.Starter button Rest is same as we have in BoS.Although I would gladly accept in near future smtg like "Detailed startup procedure" package for BoS as add-on.But I am afraid it wont pay up the effort to implement it.
