Hi All, Have been experiencing a nagging fault recently, I start up BoS and select the usual. mission/plane setup/and click fly, when I click the pause button [P] the screen will then freeze.  so I have to click device manager which tells me that the game is not responding, so I have to reboot and the game will play properly, but perhaps the next day the fault has returned ?    I am not aware of adding something to or changing my computer in any way which my be causing a conflict.  I would appreciate some help if possible.

Cheers

I have the same issue since 6-8 months. I tried to reinstall the game and update my GPU drivers but the problem still occurs !

After you click Start and the mission starts up paused.  You press P to unpause it and it locks up?  Or, does the initial P unpause it and later when you try to pause it locks up?

The screen freezes after you press the pause button, a computer re-boot usually fixes the problem, the problem is intermittent

If you have to re-boot the computer to fix it instead of re-booting the sim, I wonder if it's not Windows related.  I sometimes get weird actions and I run DISM, reboot, and then sfc.  It sometimes tells me it found corrupt files and corrected them.  Windows updates are not always error free.

If you're not familiar with those Windows functions, here's a webpage with good instructions:

Thanks Czech, I downloaded and installed Fortect which spent sometime scanning and cleaning my computer, I have flown Sturmovik for a couple of hours, flying different missions and there has been not a singe freeze !    I also play the  multiplayer " Enlisted " which was having a similar issue, but that now plays as smooth as silk.

Fortect cost me only $50 AU for a years subscription . So thanks again for your help and advice.

Yeah, if it happens in more than one program then it's probably Windows related, or a bug.
