Just a quick question:

Yesterday I shot down to Ju-88s over Rzhev. The kills were acknowledged by the game (with beep-sound and in the stats), however PWCG accredited them to an AI-pilot - or perhaps that guy shot two other Ju-88s down, I don't know.

Is this because no friendly flights were nearby to witness the kills, that happened over enemy territories?

PWCG works from a set of text log files that the game spits out.  They do not always match the in game after action report.

That sounds like a game-bug then. It happened again by the way. Shot down a Stuka, groupleader-plane was in the vicinity. The game beep'ed (the game bape?) and gave me the kill, but PWCG was merciless. No biggie, but odd that the game wouldn't log a kill that it quite clearly registered. I've only experienced it twice now.

BTW - I am enjoying PWCG immensely. That's really something you made there!

It happens. Happened in real life, too. Consider it an extra layer of realism.

yeah well, I'd like to understand the systems - and if there's a bug, Patrick seems to wanna know. It's not like my feelings are hurt or anything :)

It's been that way for 14 years.  Not sure exactly why, but it is not a priority for the 1C team to fix it.

There are many odd ends like that in the game
