JG4_Moltke1871 Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Hi guys, since some weeks I have a lot of disconnects without internet crash. I will be kicked from the servers without loosing the connection to teamspeak or discord. I already had the Telekom service in my house who checked the connection without detect any problem. My next step will be the steam repair service for the game. For any hint for possible problems that may cause this problem I would very thankful.
TG-55Panthercules Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Not sure if this is still a thing, but maybe your ping is so high that it's causing the servers to boot you, although your Internet connection is still working well enough for other things like discord to work? 1
Comrade_Weng Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 I had similar issues on internet servers. Optimising the MTU on my router helped. https://www.techrepublic.com/article/how-to-optimize-the-mtu-setting-on-your-router-for-better-performance/ 1

Sometimes I only kicked from the server, sometimes the internet is completely down for some minutes, just last night I had a complete internet disconnect. So I have to assume a instability in my connection by my provider.

My internet provider detected a problem in their cables, need a big repair and open the street to dig to the cable ? Need a lot of phone calls and 2 times visit from the service to find out ? Big repair in ONE MONTH ? I have to prefer single player for some weeks ???? 1
RNAS10_Mitchell Posted August 31, 2023 Posted August 31, 2023 (edited) You probably should confirm there is not something running in the background (windows update/music stream/other downloads/etc). Also make sure your pc is properly ventilated and graphics card not overheating. If you have multiple devices sharing your internet connection, make sure they are not downloading or streaming while you are playing and causing overload on your connection. Probably a good idea to make sure your home network is password protected so that neighbors are not stealing your connection and overloading it with downloads, streaming, etc. Edited August 31, 2023 by RNAS10_Mitchell 1
