AAA avoidance for AI pilots

One continually reoccurring comment by people in my AAA mod thread is regarding the lack of any AAA avoidance maneuvering by AI pilots and how that generates casualties that would not be so likely to occur in real life and how this negatively affects player immersion.

I realise a lot of career missions are built around the premise of hitting exact waypoints to trigger other activity and that adding complex AI routines to avoid flak may be too hard (ie costly) at this time, but I wondered if it was possible to add a simple altitude variance around the designed height on non-critical legs of the flight plan for AI?

So over and under the designed altitude by 100 or 200 m or a percentage of the designed altitude (which might be a better approach for low level flight) for legs of the trip that aren't important to game logic (i.e., take off, landing, from IP to target type legs which likely require hitting exact waypoint requirements to avoid breaking things).

The basis for this suggestion is that I have repeatedly seen that when I am the flight lead for a group of AI, I can greatly increase their chances of surviving enroute flak we encounter by weaving up and down slightly and as a consequence of AI logic the AI pilots mimic my moves.

So, my thought is that if an AI lead pilot did something similar then the flight would suffer less chance casualties and stop the immersion breaking sight of AI groups blindly flying through enroute flak encountered without any attempt at changing their vector resulting in a random number of casualties and often causing the entire flight to fail whatever task they are briefed to perform.

I'd also like to mention again an earlier AAA related suggestion that I don't believe would be hard to implement (AQMB/QMB suggestions - Suggestions - IL-2 Sturmovik Forum (il2sturmovik.com) ) - I've successfully carried out parts of this change in the form of a mod ( https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=183616&key=98988b6e80ad961cc8464dab6561ff0b ) and generally it has greatly increased the immersion in mission without noticeable detriment.

Thanks for reading.
