A Technical test is not a game.

I guess you'll have to wait to see when TF completes our next module.  ?

Well of course we will have to wait. That's kinda the point that keeps being made...!! I really don't understand why you keep making comments like these, they never age very well.

And you'll understand I also don't understand those who simply respond negatively to every post by TF... you not included.

The fact is, TF has a contract with Fulqrum.  Fulqrum is the Publisher.  They determine when announcements are made... and they make all major announcements... such as what content a DLC might have and when it is targeted to be published.  They control the Steam site(s) and anything uploaded there goes through them.

I would love to post all the details of the aircraft/map/objects we are currently working on... but I can't until Fulqrum agrees.

When TF was unofficial, we could post all the details of what we were working on... and we did.  Once we signed the contract with 1C we agreed to abide by their direction.

I suspect that some followers are primarily interested in realization of the Visual Update.

I find it more intriguing to understand what benefit it is to Fulqrum, to not let people know what is coming out.

I appreciate it's their decision, I just don't understand why they refuse to let you announce it ?

It might be because there is no ETA for the Visual Update. Why would it be rational for Fulqrum to sign off on a TF 6.0 announcement without a successful Visual Update launch?

If you guys remember, 1C only made the announcement for TOBRUK a few weeks prior to the actual release.

There is nothing truly as exciting as reading an announcement announcing that a future announcement will be made to announce something.

that January pronouncement "next month or so but it could be a few weeks later" turned out to be September. Not what I imagine most people had in mind for the definition of "next" or indeed "few" i expect.

There is always an attached disclaimer that any projected timeline can be drastically altered whenever "real life" might intrude. I cannot forget the saga related to the TF 5.0 projected timeline. Anyone who wants to repeat that experience is welcome to it. The concern I have is that the Visual Update might somehow get folded into the TF 6.0 project. The TFS commitment has been that all TF 5.0 owners will get the Visual Update for free. I had believed that the VU release would precede TF 6.0. That there seems more willingness to project a timeline for TF 6.0 than for the VU is concerning.

Apologies for that. But I myself and other members of the team were fully expecting to be able to go ahead with the announcement (a month after that January statement), and had made screenshots etc. to accompany it.

It was a most unintentional delay. Sorry.

I don't know details of the reasons for the delay ... nor do I feel a need to know them.

I presume we were told to wait with it, but don't know any details.

I only say this now, as we are at last approaching the announcement.

There has absolutely not been any intention to fool, lure, or tease anyone.

Anybody else noticed that the specific letters VR aren't being mentioned anywhere?

is this a change in language or am I being paranoid again??

If I understand your question correctly, as relating to the forthcoming TF6 content announcement:

The TF6 release and its content are totally separate from the visual update. It is the visual update that will include VR.

OTOH some have been suggesting there is nothing to follow the VU if we even get it and it will be more dead than a dead thing. People have been asking for ages what comes next content wise. For reasons I am not going to concern my poor little brain with TF haven't been able to say what it is, now they believe they know when they will be able to say so they tell us. Rather than be happy to know the project is still alive some get all worried and take to social media to show just how worried they are.

I have no agenda other than that I work for TFS and want to continue making this game. But I know that there are plans that are more far reaching than just TF6.

I said too much. But at least I said it.

So everything is on a need to know basis?

But….you wouldn’t know that?

I'm sure that if I'd asked I'd get an answer.

I don't care to ask. What is the point is asking why we have to wait if we have no choice?

I am just a worker within the bigger Team.

I can allow others to  reflect on those decisions.

Since the original question has been answered, and the thread has degenerated into repetitive questions, the questions which have already been answered, as well as uncalled for insults to other TF members, I am closing it.
