GOZR Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 We cannot read the track files anymore? in the Editor
ShamrockOneFive Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 Track files don't always work between versions. When were the track files recorded? If it wasn't with the latest update it may not work or it may work but with weird things happening (such as limited sounds). 1

We used to make a track.. change the extension to .Mission and could re-edit the mission through the ME.

Is that a pluralis majestatis there? Anyhow, you can not and could never change the extension of a .trk file and expect the Mission Editor to work. What you're referring to is probably the similarly named folder in the Tracks folder, which contains a .msnbin file which you *can* change the extension of to load it in the ME (or rather, to make it visible. Alternatively you can just type its filename in the "Open File" box.) Example: You've got a track file called "Tracks\abcd.2023-08-08_09-40-00_00.trk". You'll also find the folder "Tracks\abcd.2023-08-08_09-40-00_00" right next to it. This folder contains the file "Tracks\abcd.2023-08-08_09-40-00_00\abcd.msnbin". You can rename this file to "Tracks\abcd.2023-08-08_09-40-00_00\abcd.Mission" and load it in the Mission Editor. Edited August 8, 2023 by AEthelraedUnraed 1
