David_4555 Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 Hello. A little while back I was making up fighter paint schemes in my mind like I often do. Then I remembered seeing a profile of a (real) very simple Dora and though it looked very sleek, and it made me wonder how it would look on a 109. I didn't try to copy it, just also go for a similar simplistic late-war design. It's not meant to be realistic, just look good. Simple colours, no camouflage pattern. The line between the grey and green paint is uneven on purpose, as if it were hastly applied. I originally gave it a yellow underside of the engine, then switched to late-war JG52-like yellow bands on the engine and fuselage. In the end, I figure it looks best with no yellow paint at all. The pilot, unit and story are made up. Would anyone like to make it for Il-2? Would be very kind. Thank you for reading. 2
Malixi Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 (edited) Here you are! I made the skin as both with the tailnumber and also as a generic version with no tactical markings whatsoever, I'll link both below. I'll also upload them to HSD, they should be there soon. With markings: https://www.mediafire.com/file/ok4a9ibg0p74mdm/Bf109K4_JG45_White_1.dds/file Generic skin with no tactical markings: https://www.mediafire.com/file/pws3aqa1mjyg8v9/Bf109K4_JG45_generic.dds/file Edited August 4, 2023 by Malixi Spelling
