109 Can't Eject

Why can I not eject from a German 109?  It's not sometime, it is every time.

That can happen in real life I supposed.

You have to jettison the canopy first. I don't know what the default command is (I have ctrl + J) then ctrl + E

Either set a key to launch canopy or use the lever on the left side near canopy(in 109). As said have always to jettison canopy in planes prior bailing out.
