In the advanced config menu I'm not seeing an option to adjust the Ingress/egress and attack* altitude limits for ground attacks. Am I missing it somewhere? I've been manually adjusting the waypoint alts when generating individual missions, but it would be nice to have a modifiable preset limit.

Thanks in advance

Ingress and egress position and altitude are defined by a number of factors.  It is not always the same, therefore there is no config to set it.  You can change ingress/egress altitude and position in the mission briefing work flow.  Position from the map.  Altitude from the waypoint edit page (next page after the map).

I have always advocated that  users rearrange the waypoints to their liking.  What you get from PWCG is the best effort of an algorithm that I wrote that tries to take into account a number of variables.  It's not bad, but a person can do it better in a minute or two.  I almost always rearrange climb WPs, for instance.  Ingress and Egress are also frequently moved around.

One thing to be careful of when changing altitude: pay attention to the weather.  Sometimes PWCG has you flying low because that's your assignment.  You can change that with minimal consequences.  At other times it is because the weather demands it.  If you put yourself above the clouds then you will miss everybody doing their thing below you.

More newbie questions: I rearranged some takeoff/climb waypoints, since they took my squad over enemy territory. Not a big deal, but I thought it prudent to be at speed and height when entering gerry-occupied territory.  I also took the opportunity to make the climb-process shorter. When we got to our patrol area, it was clear of enemies, but I noticed on the map that a big fat juicy enemyflight arrived arrived just as we had left. Should I take care not to disrupt the timing of target/objective arrival, in order to not miss events - or was that a pure coincidence?

BTW: I am having a blast! A friend of mine turned out to be just as sucked into Il-2 GB as I am, so we are going to fly PWCG as coop together :)
