Yeah?  If the next gen of BoX can handle large formations of bombers then IL2 BoB would absolutely sell very well.  No doubt about it.

ROFL! We already have the BoB covered in BLITZ so it makes 0 sense from a business point of view for the devs to the BoB when there are many places that haven't been covered yet. The only advantage of it would be a flyable Defiant and Do-17 so with that it's not worth doing.

No, there won’t. They already have sales data for the Channel map.

Sales data from when, 2012? Do you have access to the sales data? No. Therefore you claim is unsubstantiated.

And there are NO plans to port it into FC.  That tells you  everything you need to know about how they think it will sell.

As Avimimus told you: "It is also possible that they don't want to work on a new map when the terrain technology is being upgraded and will make it obsolete... You speak with a lot of certainty in spite of not having any of the above information."

Cliffs of Dover is more than 12 years old and it sucks.  A new BoB game would sell very well.

I don’t need access to the sales data.  All I need to know is that the people who do have access to the sales data are not planning to port the channel map into FC.  That tells you all you need to know about the sales data.

If you want to pretend that the problem has something to do with the new project, go for it.  The end result is that they’re still not making those 3 maps.

To you it would but doing it over Korea or the Pacific would be financial ruin right there.

By your logic it would be financial ruin for the devs to have done FC but since we've gotten 3 volumes then it shows that it and adding the Channel and Tarnopol maps aren't financial ruin.

Doing BoB would probably never be financial ruin.  It might be the most iconic air battle of all time.

Well, assuming that you don’t screw it up as bad as Oleg did.

Uh No Sticker - Uh No - Discover & Share GIFs

Same also applies to the Channel, Tarnopol and Italian Front map being financial ruin.

ROF still being sold on steam. Though people are still reviewing it even in 2024 but the steam version has problems with logging on. But people are impressed with the graphics just max them out in settings.

Though I am new to this game no sim, it does not seem that bad graphics wise. Though some sims have disappeared like 2004 MSFS though MSFS X is still being sold. Though I still play 2004, just like people still play zx spectrum and Atari games.

The focus on the new sims though BOS is not new 2014, like FC is VR support. I believe COD 2018 Dec belongs here but has no VR support hence it is less then a tenner.

Though they all... r not strong on multiplayer according to steam reviews. COD has had +ve reviews in 2024. You can solve the key binding problem by saving the bindings else where and moving them into the game folder.

MP has so much choice BOS COD FC 1 FC 2 FC3 ROF DCS etc. No surprise it can vary.

ROF is more mission based back to basics. And it has not been pirated being more online...so it has a future. The graphics are good. Just max out the settings. Though I did read one review about one of the planes in FC being not as good as the ROF version. It sets a standard and it is cheap if you buy separate planes BOS also has little MP but it is very expensive as it has VR.

Though I have only tried the plane SIM on Oculus Go where u fly past tourist attractions. Some space battles on Oculus Go....it can be quite exhausting.

P.S part

1946 il2 is also still alive. Though not a big fan of b.a.t or ypack. It is still being updated. Last patch was in 2022 July:

New planes, new cockpits, new ground vehicles. They supposedly have fixed the surround sound. But i missed that out as it made the game crash.

Best money I ever spent on a flight sim.

Certainly, and this flying Magical Mistery Tour Bus is my fav plane in it; would love to see it appear in some FCx:
