delta64 Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 (edited) Hey guys, Recently I have noticed flickering around the perimeter of my screen, which starts maybe after 20min+ into a game sesssion of IL2. Eventually it gets so bad that I have to quit. And it continues after quiting! i reinstalled old driver two days ago and at first worked but problem returned today again about 20min into gaming IL2, was forced to shut off computer manually before the flickering gave me a seizure lol. This is only casued by IL2. I played for comparison star trek online (which is hard on my laptop), and il21946 , no other game caused this problem. you guys reckon it is my graphics card dying? laptop is maybe 3 years old but only using it for gaming last 4 months: AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics, 2900 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s) 8gig ram edit: graphics all set to lowest only VSYNC ticked on Edited July 27, 2023 by delta64
MajorMagee Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 Sounds like overheating, but I don't know why it would not show up in other games.
delta64 Posted July 27, 2023 Author Posted July 27, 2023 (edited) interesting, thanks. the computer doesnt feel that hot with il2 -star trek online cooks it. but maybe with il2 the heating is isolated only to the graphics computer thing Edited July 27, 2023 by delta64
jollyjack Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 (edited) I have constant flickering with my 3080ti, and a 4k Acer predator monitor, but ONLY with IL2, not with DCS f.i. Any solution welcome, target FPS set to 100, MSAA. The solution was i bought a seemingly better Displayport cable, and my flickers are gone up to 144 kHz. Edited January 24, 2024 by jollyjack
