Flies quite nice. Responsive handling.  Wings might be prone to falling off at high speeds, but need more time to be certain.  Only had a few minutes in between thunderstorms to try her out.

I agree, but how do you keep the engine from running cold?

It is lovely... one of those planes you fall in love with and it never quite leaves you! That is basically all I can say.

Well, and it is also tiny :)

I'm glad as well that we were able to get the gunsight finally positioned properly. It always bugged me that the ROF model had it positioned above the windscreen instead of directly in front of it.

flying it for the first time ever in VR, i didn't realize how small the wings are, it really is a tiny aircraft.

Is that a bug? I’m having the same issue

Yeah, we have a Nieuport N.12 (the two-seater version) here in Ottawa... and it always looks like a 1/2 scale model of something... I could never wrap my head around people who'd fly these string bags up a few kilometres and then dogfight in them... I'll always feel a bit of awe thinking about it.

N11 still feels like a kite with a machine gun. Flopping about on the breeze rather than flying through the air. Nicely modeled flopping though

Yeah, nasty little beast.

Never liked it, nor the '17.

Testing it right now.  Yes, it over cools real soon it the flight.  For me, it seems to go away shortly after engagement with AI.  Will continue testing  for a bit this evening.

After a few more flights, can only say the over cooling happens frequently, and it goes away.

It's the only plane we have with the Le Rhone 9C so far, undercooling may have been common in RoF as well without us noticing (no technochat there).

If the Pup has the same issue with undercooling, we'll know it's a feature, not a bug.

Looking at the Nieuport 11 a bit closer... should it not have a Bowden cable to the firing mechanism, plus a release cable with an O ring  on the top wing, leading to the front gun mount?

Custom markings (letters and numbers) are retained in quick mission,  but the colors chosen always revert to black.

Technically yes, but it would require a lot more modeling and animation work. Same deal with other planes like the SE5a, Spad 7, and Bristol F2B.

Same issue with the engine - running too cold pretty much all the time, even at full throttle. I'm not sure that it has an effect on the performance of the engine (RPMs seem OK?). It's a fun plane to fly, but of limited use until more of the early and mid war aircraft make it into the game.

Supposedly this most recent update has fixed the Nie 11 cooling issue.

Also, Nie 17 and Alb D.II are released.

I'm still getting the over-cooling issue on the N.11 and the N.17 seems similar to me.
