Airport with PAVED runways in CLOD and Tobruk? Are there any, and where are a few?

Can anyone point me to a paved runway in CLOD or Tobruk?  I have a paved runway that I use in Stalingrad, but would like to use one in CLOD and Tobruk if I can locate one.  Thanks for any help.

If you look at the Youtube comments in sgt_fresh's latest video he outlines how he made paved runways (edit: on the Tobuk map!)

Better still, ask him how he does it by replying to his video post:

South of London there are two iirc. Should be Kenley and Biggin Hill.

If not, check around London. I remember having a couple there. Haven't been that far in a while.

On the French side of the map I don't think there are any. Can't recall at least.

And the North Africa map only has unpaved airfields.

Yeah, good one. I think it is indeed.

I was thinking more of the eastern side of the map and completely forgot about Normandy. In DCS it has 2 runways and is paved, as are other runways also near Pointe du Hoc.

I know the Germans extended and hard surfaced Carpiquet after they invaded France but not sure how quickly. The references (ha who am i kidding---google) seems to indicate this was in time for or during the BoB but that would have been very quick indeed and perhaps mean the the airfield was used rather than anything else. I be more inclined to beleive that it was hard surfaced a little later (perhaps late 1940-early to mid 41). Either way its a long one for the Blitz map in comparison with other airfields.

I dont think the runways at Carpiquet survived intact past the early summer of 1944 but, again, not at all sure about when they were reinstated thereafter. Looking at images of the aftermath of Operation Windsor Im not even sure there was even much of an airfiled left come mid July 1944.

You can check the "AFBs of CloD" documents in the Steam CloD folder in the "manuals/maps" subfolder. Theres one for France and one for England.
