1111mark*norma* Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 I am trying to find the correct key for Increasing or decreasing RPM . Flying in expert if you select Engine #1 sometimes that works ?? If you select RIGHT SHIFT minus or plus sometimes that works. Can any one please inform me . I'm trying to master the P-47 and having a stuff time. Thank You very much for any help.
CUJO_1970 Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 go into settings>>engine controls and you can bind prop pitch to any key you want.
Skycat1969 Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 If you fly primarily single player, you may be interested in the Voice Attack Profile I created around the P-47 for my own use when flying in VR. I had to change a bunch of the default key commands to make it work but now I can control everything in the P-47 including cowl flaps, RPM and turbo levers, oil cooler and intercooler switches, water injection switch, bomb arming handles, gunsight reticle selection, gyroscopic gunsight range, etc. all by voice commands. The P-47 is my favorite aircraft to fly fully manual in. My VAP requires the full version of Voice Attack because of the number of commands programmed. I think the free version of VA only allows 25 total commands?
czech693 Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 RSHFT + or - is correct. Should already be Engine #1 since it's a single engine aircraft. Shouldn't have to select or change that.

RossMarBow Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 RPM and pressure are super common controls for red planes If you have the twcs throttle or something with multiple axis you generally want to have both pressure and rpm on an axis On it I have pressure as main slider and the spinny wheel thing as RPM If you use buttons then you probably want to bind it like you did in '46 i.e. have one button for 100% one for 84% one for 69% one for 49% and one for 25% which you would have to use some macros or va or something for this might take a bit of setup but will give you much greater control and be much easier to manage Mix is also important as full mix gives you extra power Or yea and water injection too Everything else is set and forget unless you fly obscenely high up then you will need to lower turbo below 100%
