Ken5421 Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 Hey folks! Quick question. I'm trying to buy the Spitfire XIVe but when I click on buy button not letting me Is it just not available yet? Cheers Ken
Skycat1969 Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 It's been released so it is available to purchase. Is there a chance you already own it on Steam? Just a thought. Also ... the standard canopy version was included with the EA version of Battle of Normandy, and is part of the Premium Edition of Normandy. The bubble top variant is more recent. Check your inventory in the game to see if you already own the version you are trying to buy. 1
Ken5421 Posted July 10, 2023 Author Posted July 10, 2023 ok thanks I have premium Normandy. But when I select during game says not available. So I try and buy but can't. Will check my inventory. Thanks
Skycat1969 Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 Strange... I just checked Quick Missions in both my Steam version and my web launcher version, and neither version lists any aircraft I don't own. I remember when the list just ghosted out what I did not have -- and I think clicking on the ghost would take me to its entry in the web store. Anyhow, I bought the Bf 109 G-6 AS last week directly through the web store and it appears in my list of available Quick Mission aircraft. Are you able to purchase the Spitfire XIV you need directly through the store page? You should already own the standard canopy Spitfire Mk XIV from your Normandy Premium purchase. The bubble top version is only available at the end of the Rheinland career BTW.

There's a separate Collector Plane labelled Spitfire XIVe which is the bubble canopy version. Which are you clicking on and do you own the XIVe? 1

kestrel79 Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 I wish the store website was better at telling you if you have purchased something already or not. It's really hard right now to tell. I have to look through my purchase history to see if I preordered a plane 12 months ago or not when I comes out. 1

I want to buy the XIVe but wont let me Go to Quick Missions and select the menu to choose a flyable aircraft. You should see your Spitfire XIV (from Normandy Premium) in the list of available aircraft. Is the Spitfire Mk XIVe (Collector Plane bubble canopy) also listed? If it is you own it already and you should be able to select and fly it on a Quick Mission map. In the game careers, the XIVe is only available during the last week of the war. The standard canopy XIV that comes with the Normandy Premium edition, and which is also sold separately as a Collector Plane, is used as a V-1 rocket bomb intercepter in the Normandy career, and is available for some units as a fighter starting midway through the Rheinland (Bodenplatte) career. 1
