Stats Problem at Flugpark?

Last night I flew my Schuck into a low-altitude furball.  Started out putting a few hits on an SE5A; moved on and shot-up an FE2B and had him streaming fuel; shot up a second SE5A badly enough that I thought he’d go down; crossed paths with the Brisfit again and put a few more rounds into his engine compartment.  Moments later he rolled over and crashed.

 

I’d been hit in the engine so I headed East before it quit.  That second SE5A was still up and he wounded me so badly I redded-out for many seconds.  When I regained consciousness I was still straight and level at maybe 50 meters altitude; at which point that SE5A disappeared in a small puff of smoke like they do when they’re dead and the game doesn’t want to carry the plane anymore.

 

Then, my first SE5A (who had been trailing the Scout that disappeared) overflew me as I made a deadstick landing.  I came down maybe 200 meters South of our aerodrome and the AA gunners shot that SE5A bot pilot dead.

 

I exited and checked the stats to see I got credit for three kills: the Brisfit and both Scouts.  That didn’t seem right.  So I went back and checked the FR. 

 

I think the FE2B was a good kill.  But one thing I noticed in FR, that second Scout (the one I thought I shot down) ceased displaying an icon right after I broke off to go back after the Brisfit.  He had no icon for the rest of his flight, when he wounded me, and right up until he disappeared.  Thought that was strange.

 

And I had only put a few holes into the engine compartment of that first SE5A at the start of the fight; definitely not enough to shoot him down.  He was in good shape when he overflew me and the FR verified it was an AA gunner from the aerodrome that killed him with gunfire.  I was stopped on the ground with a dead mill when he died.

 

And yet, I got credit for all three victories.  I think they were all bots though I'm not 100% sure about the one that disappeared.

  

Anyone notice anything like this lately at the Park?  Was anything known to be wrong with the stats last night?

I assume the FE2B was a Bristol ?

 

When an icon goes out that's the opponent dealt with. Unfortunately some bots like to fight on and shoot at you for a bit so you have to be careful ! But sounds like you got the kill. 

 

Bots often disappear mid-air after being 'killed', so you probably got that one legit too. 

If you're on a Smarty-pants server with script to remove bots when more than one player enters, then they can go 'poof' anytime !

But when killed, the default 'delete' time is a bit short. Nothing much more immersion breaking than a plane disappearing into thin air.

Thanks Zoo.  That guy took several minutes to de-rez though!  Never seen that before.  I'll be watching this from now on.

 

BTW: been meaning to let you know: I don't know what happened to the Twilight Zone map you emailed me many months ago.  Somehow it must have gotten deleted from my files.  Do you suppose you could send me those files one more time again please?  It's one of my favorites and I miss it a lot.
