AQMB and other single player options for Ju-87.

I was setting up an AQMB mission, and wanted to set up a "Ground Support" mission with the Ju87, as I have done in other planes such as the Bf 110 and Hs 129, but found that it was not an option and would like to suggest that you add it. 

 

I also noticed that while the He 111 is available for ground support missions, neither version of the Ju 88 is available

 

I have not particularly seen any content to utilize the 37mm gunpods on the Stuka other than QMB, if you have any suggestions?

 

Also, I would also love if there was a way to better utilize the gunpods with 6xMG81Z, maybe with infantry?

You could try Easy Mission Generator by Vander.

I suppose anti tank missions for the gun pods can be generated.

I agree, it's a bit of a pain to generate missions for the Ju 87 "G". EMG can generate tanks on a road, or parked tanks, but I don't think it can generate anything as exciting as AQMB's "ground support". I don't get the impression that PWCG generates tank-busting missions for it, either.

 

Perhaps the cannon armed Ju 87s didn't see action in Kuban? (And AQMB isn't available on the Prokhorovka map). Still, I'd rather AQMB provide some fun but ahistorical missions than not have good missions for the cannon load-out at all.

 

When I ran a tank busting Ju 87 co-op for JG3 folks I started with an AQMB Hs 129 mission and somewhat laboriously converted it to co-op. It had some problems and I'd probably be able to do a better job of this today.

I have no experience with AQMB. Maybe it is great.

Someone could check if the AQMB configuration files are available / packed in the *.gtp files similar as some files of the careers.

Maybe it is possible to add the Ju87-G with gun pods to AQMB similar as other planes have been added in the extended careers mod?

I'd have to re-check my sources, but I think a handful were tested there in the Spring of 1943 ahead of Operation Citadel, in a specialized unit (Versuchskommando für Panzerbekämpfung).

Velikiye Luki Map could be used at least for semi historical correct quick missions. Near Nevel / Novosokolniky were frontlines until early 1944.

Velikiye Luki Map is availabe in EMG. Attached some demo missions / not checked, for testing.

The template could be modded with extra random "events" (tank attacks,...)
