SeattleRex Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 (edited) Greetings: My name is Rex and I'm relatively new (I bought IL-2 last week), and I've been trying to learn what I can in the forums. I've had quite a few questions, but before posting a new thread, I usually try to do a search to see if it's already been answered. Unfortunately, this strategy is not working out too well for me, because there's kind of an art to search, and I usually have to refine the results a bit. Alas, something is happening where I'm only allowed to search one time, and the subsequent times it tells me that I have to wait 50 seconds, or some other random amount, which makes for some really slow progress. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Or is it possibly a limitation because I'm new? I do block ads pretty aggressively, so perhaps this is the culprit? Is there any way to be able to search at-will, or is this an intentional limitation? FYI, I am using the search box at the top right, the one in the same row as "Browse All", "Rules", etc. Thanks! Avimimus Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 This is normal. I do not think it is anything to do with you. A lot of websites do this (I suspect it is a reaction to bots). You can try doing a google search and adding "site:https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/" as part of what you are searching for. That is what I often do. It is a trick to get google to only provide results from one website. You can try this link: site:https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/ - Google Search 1 2
